Baby Monster Achieves First Million-Seller with Debut Album 'DRIP'

On June 27, YG Entertainment announced that Baby Monster has reached a significant milestone by achieving their first million-seller status with their debut album, [DRIP], just over a year after their official debut. The album has recorded a total sales figure of 1,011,352 copies as of today, approximately seven months after its release on November 1 of last year.

Upon its release, [DRIP] quickly gained popularity, with initial sales surpassing previous records. The album's first-week sales reached 678,961 copies, marking a 1.7 times increase compared to their earlier release, [BABYMONS7ER]. Following this, the album continued to sell steadily, ultimately leading to its million-seller status.

The sales figures reflect Baby Monster's rapid rise in the music industry, showcasing their strong core fandom. Their ongoing world tour and impressive live performances across various global platforms have further solidified their expanding international fanbase.

Looking ahead, Baby Monster has an active schedule planned for the second half of the year, which is expected to boost their sales even further. They will kick off their next single, 'HOT SAUCE,' on July 1, followed by a second single in September and a mini-album in October. Additionally, they are set to perform at Japan's largest music festival, 'Summer Sonic,' on August 16, broadening their engagement with music fans.

The upcoming track 'HOT SAUCE' is described as an old-school hip-hop song infused with vibes from the mid to late 1980s, promising a refreshing summer sound. The group plans to release various YouTube content, including performance and dance practice videos, to build excitement for their comeback.
