ATEEZ's Hongjoong and Jongho Shine in Emotional Busking Performance in Germany
ATEEZ members Hongjoong (홍중) and Jongho (종호) showcased their professionalism during a recent episode of KBS2's music travel reality show, 'The Country I Sing In Germany' (나라는 가수 인 독일), which aired on January 25. The duo performed heartfelt busking sessions at various iconic locations in Germany, including the historic Old Stone Bridge.
In this episode, Jongho teamed up with Inau to deliver a rendition of 'Desperado' by the Eagles, a classic from the 1970s American country rock scene. Meanwhile, Hongjoong joined forces with Sohyang and Sunwoo Jung-A to perform 'The Reason' by Hoobastank, a song that reached number two on the Billboard charts in 2004. Both artists reinterpreted these timeless hits in their unique styles, captivating the audience.
During the performance of 'Love in Progress' (열애중) by Ben, an unexpected incident occurred when Inau, who was playing the piano, lost the beat, causing the performance to pause. In the midst of the surprise, Jongho calmly suggested, "Shall we do it again?" demonstrating his professionalism. He later comforted Inau, saying, "It's okay," showing his warm demeanor.
The duo then visited the Mirabell Palace, famously known as a filming location for 'The Sound of Music,' where they continued their romantic night busking performance against the backdrop of a fountain in the garden.
Jongho chose to perform 'Love in Progress' again, starting the song in sync with Inau's playing. His smooth and sweet vocal tone, along with his impressive singing ability, drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.
In a group performance of 'Gangsta's Paradise' by Coolio, Hongjoong captivated viewers with powerful rapping, featuring lyrics he had written himself. Jongho's soaring high notes added to the electrifying atmosphere, leaving the audience with a thrilling and emotional experience.
'The Country I Sing In Germany' airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM on KBS2.
