ATEEZ Tops Billboard 200 with Record Sales for Their New Album

ATEEZ has made a monumental mark in the K-pop scene once again. According to a chart preview released by Billboard on November 24 (local time), ATEEZ's mini album, GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2, which was released on November 15, has debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, the main chart in the United States.
The Billboard 200 ranks albums based on a combination of sales figures, streaming equivalent albums (SEA), and track equivalent albums (TEA). ATEEZ's album sales reached 179,000 copies, with an additional 5,000 from SEA, totaling 184,000 units sold. This achievement marks the highest first-week sales for the group in the U.S. to date.
Last December, ATEEZ first topped the Billboard 200 with their second studio album, THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL, and now they have achieved this feat again with their mini album, making it two number-one albums within a year.
In addition to this latest success, ATEEZ's previous mini album, GOLDEN HOUR: Part.1, also reached number two on the Billboard 200, showcasing their strong presence with five albums charting in the 'TOP 3' overall, solidifying their status as a 'world-class' act.
Notably, ATEEZ has four albums that have surpassed 100,000 copies in first-week sales in the U.S., including THE WORLD EP.2: OUTLAW, THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL, GOLDEN HOUR: Part.1, and GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2.
Furthermore, they secured the fourth position on the Official Albums Chart in the UK, becoming the first K-pop group to enter the 'TOP 5' three times within a year and the first to rank in the 'TOP 10' four consecutive times. They also dominated eight detailed charts, including second place on the Official Physical Albums Chart, Official Albums Sales Chart, and Official Scottish Albums Chart.
The title track, 'Ice On My Teeth,' has also made waves, ranking eighth on the Official Singles Downloads Chart and twelfth on the Official Singles Sales Chart, setting a new personal best for the group.
Additionally, the album has reached fifth place on the French Albums Chart (SNEP) and sixth on the Official German Charts, further demonstrating ATEEZ's global influence.
With the message of their album reflecting a desire to be 'real' in a world of swirling values, ATEEZ continues to showcase their unique 'true value' in the K-pop industry, maintaining their unstoppable popularity.
Looking ahead, ATEEZ is set to engage with fans through various performances, including their appearance at the 16th Melon Music Awards (MMA2024) on November 30.
