Asuka Kirara Denies Prostitution Allegations Involving Jo Hyun-yeon

Asuka Kirara (아스카 키라라), a 37-year-old influencer and former adult film actress from Japan, has denied allegations of engaging in prostitution with Jo Hyun-yeon (주학년), a 26-year-old former member of the K-pop group The Boyz. After remaining silent following the emergence of these claims, Kirara took to her social media on June 21 to assert, "I have never received money for sexual relations in my life."
In response to a Japanese media outlet's report featuring a photo of her with Jo Hyun-yeon, she explained, "The woman who was present at that moment seemed to have a liking for Jo Hyun-yeon, and she took the photo and sold it to the media."
Jo Hyun-yeon was expelled from The Boyz on June 18 amid the controversy surrounding his private life, with allegations of prostitution being raised by a media source. Following his dismissal, he stated, "My agency unilaterally removed me from the team simply for being in the company of a famous person at a private gathering. If there is evidence of prostitution, I urge you to reveal it immediately."
Jo gained popularity through the Mnet audition program Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017 and debuted with The Boyz in December of the same year. Asuka Kirara debuted as an AV actress in 2007 and continued her career until 2020, after which she transitioned to being an influencer.
