The incident occurred on July 16 at Gillette Stadium in Boston, Massachusetts, where the two were caught on camera sharing a back hug, leading to the scandal. Following the event, Astronomer confirmed that Byron has stepped down from his role. The company stated that co-founder and Chief Product Officer Pete DiJoy is currently serving as CEO in Byron's absence and promised to provide more information at an appropriate time.
