Aoi Sora Speaks Out on Recent Controversy Involving K-Pop Idol and Japanese AV Actress

Aoi Sora (아오이 소라), a 42-year-old former Japanese adult film actress turned broadcaster, has addressed the recent scandal involving a member of the K-pop group The Boyz and Japanese AV actress Asuka Kirara (아스카 키라라), aged 36. On June 25, Sora took to her social media to assert, "AV actresses are not prostitutes." In a follow-up post, she expressed her disappointment regarding the leaked photos that sparked the controversy, stating, "The actions depicted in the leaked photos are what should be criticized, not the status of AV actresses."

Although she did not name anyone directly, her comments seem to reference the ongoing allegations surrounding Jo Haknyeon (주학년), 26, who was expelled from The Boyz following rumors of his involvement with Kirara. Reports have surfaced alleging that Jo was involved in prostitution, which he has vehemently denied. He stated, "My agency unilaterally removed me from the team simply for being in a private setting with a well-known person. If there is evidence of prostitution, I urge you to reveal it immediately."

Asuka Kirara, who had remained silent until now, also addressed the situation on June 21, claiming, "I have never engaged in paid sexual relations in my life." She explained that a woman at the gathering, who had just met Jo, seemed to have an interest in him and took a photo that was later sold to the media.
