Annie Reveals Glimpse into Chaebol Life During Live Broadcast

Annie (문서윤), the granddaughter of Lee Myung-hee, the chairman of Shinsegae Group, has recently sparked interest after sharing a glimpse of her chaebol lifestyle during a live broadcast. As a member of the mixed group All Day Project, Annie conducted the live stream from what appeared to be her home kitchen. During the broadcast, a male voice off-screen announced, 'The chairman is coming in,' to which a nearby woman responded, 'Yes~.' Annie seemed unfazed by the announcement and continued with her stream.
This moment quickly spread across various social media platforms, including YouTube and Instagram, prompting reactions from netizens such as, 'Experiencing chaebol life vicariously,' 'To Annie, it’s just her mom coming in,' and 'I’ve never heard such a phrase in my life; it’s fascinating.'
Annie officially debuted with the mixed group All Day Project on June 23 with the single 'FAMOUS.' The group, produced by Teddy, who has worked with top K-pop acts like BIGBANG and BLACKPINK, consists of five members: Annie, Tarzan, Bailey, Woochan, and Youngseo.
In a debut documentary released on her YouTube channel on June 13, Annie revealed that she chose the path of a singer despite her family's opposition. When she expressed her desire to pursue music, her mother, Jeong Yu-kyung, the chairman of Shinsegae, reportedly responded, 'Is that even a reasonable thing to say? Absolutely not.' However, Annie shared that her mother promised to help persuade the rest of the family if she got accepted into college. After preparing for entrance exams, Annie successfully gained admission to Columbia University in the United States. She expressed her determination, stating, 'I feel I need to show more to prove how earnest I am about this dream.'
