An Ye-eun Unveils Her Fourth EP 'Story Bundle' with the Title Track 'King Carp'

Singer-songwriter An Ye-eun is set to share a wealth of stories today, November 21. At 6 PM KST, she will release her fourth EP titled '이야기 보따리' ('Story Bundle') across various music streaming platforms. This marks her return to the music scene nearly a year and nine months after the release of her previous full-length album, '쉽게 쓴 이야기' ('Easily Written Stories').

The title track '잉어왕' ('King Carp') features an electro-swing genre, narrating the tale of a carp that suddenly appears to share its story. Drawing inspiration from An Ye-eun's own dream of a carp, the song presents the fish as a storyteller, engaging listeners with catchy lyrics like "골라 골라 잡아 잡아" that enhance its lively melody.

The accompanying music video showcases An Ye-eun moving between a palace and a bustling marketplace, fully embracing the historical drama concept. In this vibrant setting, she dances with her performers, showcasing her cheerful charm.

In addition to '잉어왕', the EP '이야기 보따리' includes five other tracks: '이내' ('Ine'), which reflects on the feelings of a narrator reminiscing about a past love with a straightforward vocal style; '그믐달' ('New Moon'), a folk piece that mirrors the narrator's solitude under the new moon; '그 사랑은 내 사랑이 아니었음을' ('That Love Was Not My Love'), which expresses the narrator's acceptance of love through rock metal sounds; '이곳은 아직 겨울이오' ('This Place is Still Winter'), An Ye-eun's first bossa nova track that conveys the sentiment of being left in winter while everyone else enjoys spring; and an instrumental version of '잉어왕' ('King Carp (Inst.)').

'이야기 보따리' is a culmination of An Ye-eun's unique musical narrative, showcasing her growth as an artist as she explores various genres while writing and composing all the tracks herself.
