Ailee's Husband Choi Si-hoon Vows Legal Action Against Malicious Rumors
Choi Si-hoon, the husband of singer Ailee, has announced a firm stance against the malicious rumors circulating online about him. Following Ailee's management, A2Z Entertainment, indicating potential legal action against harmful posts, both Choi and Ailee have made it clear that they will not tolerate the spread of false information.
On May 10, Choi Si-hoon shared an official statement from The Alpha Law Firm on his social media. The legal representatives stated, "Currently, false information and malicious slander against Choi Si-hoon are being widely disseminated across portal sites, online communities, and social media at a serious level. We are continuously monitoring and collecting evidence, and we are working with relevant authorities to identify the authors of these posts."
They further emphasized, "To protect our client, we will take all possible civil and criminal actions against any acts of spreading false information, defamation, and insults without delay."
Earlier, on May 7, A2Z Entertainment released an official statement regarding the severity of the situation caused by malicious posts about Ailee, stating, "We can no longer overlook the seriousness of the situation and are planning legal action. There will be no settlements or leniency during the legal process."
Ailee and Choi Si-hoon tied the knot on April 20 in a private ceremony in Gangnam, Seoul. However, they have faced various rumors even before their marriage. Choi Si-hoon addressed the rumors surrounding him, including claims of being from a 'host bar,' through his YouTube channel, expressing his frustration. He stated, "I am an unknown person and a regular citizen; it was my first experience with such accusations, and I felt very wronged. I quit all my part-time jobs when I started acting."
Ailee also shared her struggles during her appearance on tvN STORY's Kim Chang-wook Show 3, saying, "My husband works really hard. He does various jobs, but people think he is unemployed. It seems like I am the only one working and supporting us."
Recently, the controversy resurfaced when Liwon, a participant from the Wavve variety show Your Love, mentioned Choi Si-hoon's name while clarifying the 'BJ controversy.' Liwon clarified that Choi Si-hoon is not the representative of his agency and has no direct connection, yet the malicious rumors continued to circulate.
Both Choi Si-hoon and Ailee's sides have vowed to take a strong legal stance against the dissemination of false information and are prepared to confront the malicious rumors head-on.
