Ailee Mourns the Loss of Late Singer Wheesung

On March 12, singer Ailee took to her social media to express her sorrow over the sudden passing of fellow artist Wheesung, who died on March 10. Accompanying her heartfelt message was a short video featuring moments they shared on stage together.
Ailee began her tribute by reminiscing, saying, "I was crying so much yesterday while looking for photos of us, and I realized there wasn't a single normal picture. That's so us. Watching our performances together, I remembered how happy we were. I wish we had done more shows together."
She continued to reflect on their relationship, describing Wheesung as a strict producer at times, a playful older brother, and an incredibly talented senior. "You know you were the most precious connection in my life, right? The reason I can still sing in Korea is all thanks to you, and I am so grateful for that."
Ailee expressed her deep affection, stating, "You were the best stage partner in my life, and you will always be my brother. Thank you so much. I’m really sorry, and I will miss you a lot. Let’s meet again someday and sing together joyfully. Goodnight, Realslow."
Wheesung was found unresponsive in an apartment in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at 6:29 PM on March 10, at the age of 43. His funeral will be held at Samsung Medical Center starting March 14, with the burial taking place at Gwangneung Memorial Park on March 16.
