AHOF Makes a Stunning Debut on Inkigayo with 'Rendezvous'

The rookie group AHOF (스티븐, 서정우, 차웅기, 장슈아이보, 박한, 제이엘, 박주원, 즈언, 다이스케) has officially announced their arrival in the K-pop scene. On July 6, they performed their title track '그곳에서 다시 만나기로 해 (Rendezvous)' from their first mini-album 'WHO WE ARE' on SBS's Inkigayo.

Before their performance, the members of AHOF introduced themselves in a debut interview. Member 차웅기 explained that AHOF stands for 'All time Hall Of Famer,' reflecting their ambition to leave a lasting legacy in the K-pop Hall of Fame beyond just popularity. Leader 스티븐 added that the title track 'Rendezvous' features lyrics co-written by 차웅기, capturing the longing and hope experienced in the pursuit of dreams.

The group also teased the audience with a glimpse of the highlight choreography for 'Rendezvous,' building anticipation for their performance.

During their stage, AHOF skillfully portrayed the complex emotions of youth, balancing themes of anxiety and hope. Their visuals, stable live vocals, and emotionally charged performances showcased a level of stage presence that belied their rookie status, keeping the audience captivated.

The choreography, characterized by its restrained movements and intricate details, enhanced the song's dreamy and lyrical atmosphere. The members executed impactful performances, embodying the lyrics '떠나지 마라 / 딱 한 번만 날 안아줘 / 그 자리에 굳어 부서진 나를 봐' with gestures that formed the number '1' and embraced-like movements.

'WHO WE ARE' tells the heartfelt story of these nine boys. The debut title track 'Rendezvous' features a band sound with guitar and drums that reflects the complex emotions of youth, capturing moments where imperfection and hope intersect.

Following their album release on July 1, AHOF topped the real-time charts on Bugs and Hanteo for physical albums. They also demonstrated their popularity by placing all tracks from the album, including the title track, in the upper ranks of the Bugs real-time chart. The music video for 'Rendezvous' has garnered over 25.16 million views within a week of its release, attracting global attention beyond South Korea.

In addition to AHOF, other artists such as Nuerra, LE SSERAFIM, Park Ji-hyun, Baby Don’t Cry, Baby Monster, Bling One, ILY:1, aespa, All Day Project, ONEUS, Wonho, Jeon Yujin, KARD, Catch the Young, CRAVITY, P1Harmony, and fromis_9 also performed on Inkigayo.
