Ahn Jae-hyun Reveals His 2024 Spending Habits on MBC's 'I Live Alone'

On January 3, 2025, Ahn Jae-hyun shared his spending details for 2024 during an episode of MBC's 'I Live Alone' (나 혼자 산다), which also featured Park Ji-hyun and Park Na-rae. Ahn expressed his nervousness as he sifted through his email to print out his credit card statements for the year. He had previously mentioned wanting to focus on his finances in 2024 and was curious about his spending patterns.
As he reviewed his expenses, Ahn pondered over his purchases, particularly appliances, and noted that he had bought a washing machine. He also checked his spending on clothing and books. Ahn was surprised to see a convenience store transaction of 63,800 won and joked about what he could have possibly bought. He was taken aback by the high number of entries under entertainment expenses, wondering if someone had stolen his card or if he had lost it. However, it turned out that these entries were from his enjoyment of claw machines and games at the market, which brought laughter.
Additionally, Ahn reviewed his medical expenses, admitting that he tends to visit the hospital at the slightest discomfort to avoid larger bills later. He revealed that he spent 637,000 won on medical fees, claiming he had maintained a very healthy lifestyle. He humorously estimated that his medication costs could reach around 6 million won.
After calculating his total expenses for the year, excluding cash, Ahn Jae-hyun found that he had spent 13,718,653 won on credit card bills, insurance, and management fees. He shared that in 2024, whenever he wanted to buy something, he would just hold onto the thought and sleep on it, instead investing that money in stocks and savings. He believes that while material items are fleeting, investments in stocks and savings appreciate in value. Ahn also noted an impressive investment return rate of 17%.
