aespa's 'Supernova' Wins Best Song Asia at MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025

The K-pop group aespa has solidified their global popularity with their hit song 'Supernova' (슈퍼노바), which won the prestigious 'Best Song Asia' award at the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025 held in Kyoto on May 21-22.

The MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN is a collaborative event established by five major local organizations, including the Japan Record Association and the Recording Industry Association, along with government agencies. Winners are determined through votes from music industry experts based on various music metrics from sources like Oricon, Billboard Japan, and GfK Japan.

This latest accolade follows aespa's impressive achievements, including two awards at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards and being the first female artist to win four awards at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan (VMAJ). Their success at the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN further confirms their strong presence in the local market.

Having made a successful debut in Japan with 'Hot Mess' (핫 메스) in July 2024, aespa also held their second concert at Tokyo Dome, 'SYNK: PARALLEL LINE – in TOKYO DOME -SPECIAL EDITION-', attracting around 94,000 fans in August.

Looking ahead, aespa will host their first Japanese fan meeting, 'MY-J presents aespa JAPAN FANMEETING 2025 To MY WORLD', at the Pier Arena MM on May 24-25, where they will connect with their local fans.
