On November 23, 2024, at the '2024 MAMA AWARDS JAPAN' held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, aespa was honored with the prestigious 'Song of the Year' award, marking a significant milestone in their career. The group expressed their gratitude, stating, "We never imagined this. We are truly thankful and honored that 'Supernova' received so much love." They also promised to continue working hard to produce great music in the future.

In their heartfelt speech, aespa thanked their fans, known as MYs, saying, "Thank you so much for all the love this year. We are grateful to everyone who has supported us, and we love our company, SM Entertainment. As fans know, our goal this year was to win the grand prize, and we are so happy to achieve that at MAMA."

This year marks aespa's return to the MAMA stage after three years, a time when the pandemic limited fan attendance. They expressed their joy at being able to share this moment with fans in such a large venue.

In addition to the 'Song of the Year,' aespa took home a total of six awards, including Best Dance Performance, Best Choreography, Best Female Group, and Best Music Video. This impressive haul was complemented by their earlier win for 'Fan's Choice' the previous day.

After winning Best Dance Performance, Winter expressed her gratitude to the fans for their support and acknowledged the hard work of their performance team and choreographer, Lena. She promised to continue delivering impressive performances in the future.

Following their win for Best Choreography for 'Supernova,' aespa shared their pride in the love their hard work received throughout the year, thanking their choreographers and styling team for their efforts.

When accepting the Best Female Group award, Winter reflected on the overwhelming love they received this year, thanking their SM Town family and acknowledging the hard work of her fellow members. Giselle added in her native Japanese, "I am so happy to receive such a wonderful award. I know you love us a lot. We truly love you."

The award for Best Music Video also went to aespa for 'Armageddon.' Winter expressed her happiness for the recognition of a music video they hold dear, thanking the director, video team, and all staff involved in its production. She emphasized the special meaning of the video and encouraged fans to look forward to more diverse and innovative music videos in the future.
