Actress Lee Seo-yi Passes Away, Leaving Behind Heartfelt Memories

Actress Lee Seo-yi has sadly passed away, with the news emerging over ten days after her death. This revelation has left many in mourning, especially as it was revealed that her flower shop was preparing to relocate. A touching message from a close fan has further deepened the sorrow surrounding her untimely departure.

On July 1, Lee Seo-yi's manager shared a heartfelt message on her social media account, stating, "Our radiant, beautiful, kind sister has become a star in heaven on June 20, 2025. We know everyone is shocked and heartbroken by the news, but please pray that she has gone to a beautiful place."

Actor Choi Deok-moon, who worked with her on the film Killing Romance, expressed disbelief in the comments, writing, "Huh? What? Why? How could this happen?" Other actors, including Park Ho-san, also shared their condolences.

In addition to her acting career, Lee Seo-yi operated a flower shop, which she opened in Bongcheon-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul in 2022, specializing in custom bouquets and event floral arrangements. Despite receiving positive feedback, she announced a temporary closure in April, with plans to reopen in September in Seonghyeon-dong, Gwanak-gu.

Tragically, the news of her passing came before the anticipated reopening. A fan shared a poignant message, stating, "I can't erase the calendar for our meeting on May 24. I was supposed to have surgery, and she had just returned from a break, saying she caught a cold. We promised to meet after we both recovered, and now I regret not meeting her that day. I had so much to talk about and wanted to celebrate her new home. She gifted me a bouquet, smiling, and I just want to say I'm sorry for everything and thank you for the memories. I wish we could have spent more time together."

Lee Seo-yi made her acting debut in 2014 with the SBS drama Cheongdam-dong Scandal and appeared in films such as Madame Bongdeok, The King's Affection, and Killing Romance, where she played the role of Beom-woo's (Gong Myung) sister. She also participated in theater productions like Good Doctor and Strange People, and was recently seen in the tvN drama Divorce Attorney Shin, which concluded in May.
