Actress Kim Sae-ron Found Dead at Home, Tributes Pour In

The entertainment industry is mourning the loss of actress Kim Sae-ron, who was found deceased at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16. A friend discovered her body, and the police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death.

In response to the tragic news, her former agency, Gold Medalist, expressed their condolences, stating, "We are deeply saddened by the unfortunate news of Kim Sae-ron. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family." Kim was signed with Gold Medalist from January 2020 until December 2022, when her contract ended following a drunk driving incident in May 2022. After that, she continued her career without an agency.

Fellow actress Kim Ok-bin shared her condolences on social media, simply writing, "May the deceased rest in peace," which is believed to be in reference to Kim Sae-ron.

On the same day, actress Kim Min-chae also paid tribute, reminiscing about their time together in the film "Neighborhood People," stating, "I was so happy to meet you as a daughter in the movie. May you rest comfortably. May the deceased rest in peace."

Kim Sae-ron debuted as a cover model for the magazine 'Enfant' in 2001 and began her acting career as a child actress in the film "Traveler" in 2009. She gained recognition for her role in the film "The Man from Nowhere" and appeared in various films and dramas, including "The Tunnel," "Dohee-ya," "Manshin," "The Snowy Road," and dramas like "Can You Hear My Heart," "Queen's Classroom," "Nobody Knows," and "Hunting Dogs."
