Actress Ji So-yeon and Song Jae-hee Expecting Second Child After Overcoming Infertility

Actress Ji So-yeon (지소연) and her husband Song Jae-hee (송재희) are thrilled to announce that they are expecting their second child, just two years after welcoming their first daughter, Ha-eul (하엘). On April 14, Ji So-yeon shared the joyful news, reflecting on their journey through infertility. She expressed, "After meeting our lovely Ha-eul and having to let go of a precious life, we have been blessed with another gift after a challenging time."

She continued, "It took courage to try again, but behind that courage lies the warmest miracle. This child is also a result of our prayers." Ji So-yeon hopes that their story will inspire hope in others, adding, "A little heart is beating inside me, Ha-eul, you’re going to be a big sister!"

The couple, who married in 2017, faced difficulties conceiving and successfully became parents for the first time through in vitro fertilization (IVF) after five years of marriage. Ji So-yeon previously opened up about their struggles on Channel A's 'Gumjok Counseling Center' in 2022, revealing that they were diagnosed with infertility and needed IVF to conceive.

She shared her emotional journey, saying, "I really dislike needles, and there were times filled with hope and despair. I worried about how to keep my spirits up, and I was concerned for my husband as well." In August 2022, Ji So-yeon announced her pregnancy, and they welcomed their daughter in January 2023.

Now, two years later, they are expecting their second child through IVF once again. Ji So-yeon humorously noted, "I couldn’t do a proper pregnancy reveal to my husband because of the hormone level blood tests."
