Actress Hong Jin-hee Shares Heartwarming Stories of Friendship with Jo Hye-ryun and Kim Hye-soo

On December 26, actress Hong Jin-hee made a surprise appearance on KBS2's 'Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together' (박원숙의 같이 삽시다), revealing her life updates since her last film 'Sunny'. Debuting in 1981 as a contestant in the Miss MBC pageant, Hong captivated viewers with her striking blonde hair, a departure from her previous looks.

Hong shared, "I had to bleach my hair because of gray strands. I've been unemployed for over a decade and am living frugally, saving every penny I can from my childhood savings." When hosts Park Won-sook and Hye-eun questioned her glamorous appearance, she clarified, "I only spend money on my nails, getting a manicure once a month for about 30,000 to 40,000 won, which brings me joy."

She added, "I feel comfortable wearing pajamas bought from the market. In my youth, I loved luxury brands, but now I can't even carry them because they're too heavy. I live within my means."

Hong also spoke fondly of her close friend Jo Hye-ryun, who has been supportive by throwing her a 60th birthday party and giving her money on Parents' Day. Hye-eun expressed her admiration, saying, "Her heart is so beautiful."

Additionally, Hong mentioned actress Kim Hye-soo, stating, "Our bond from 'The Couple' has lasted for about three years. She shops for groceries once a month and sends me food. When I told her I felt bad for her doing this, she replied, 'This way, even if we can't see each other often, we can stay in touch. I enjoy sending you things, so don't worry about it.' Once, when I injured my arm, she even sent me a robot vacuum cleaner."

Despite her past roles often portraying frivolous characters, Hong expressed her frustration, saying, "I've been labeled as someone who has sponsors due to my glamorous looks, but I've never had one in my life. It's been unfair."
