Actor Um Ki-joon Ties the Knot at 48

Actor Um Ki-joon is set to join the ranks of married men at the age of 48. He will marry his non-celebrity girlfriend in a private ceremony held at a hotel in Seoul on December 22. Born in 1976, Um Ki-joon is considered a late bloomer in the marriage department. Given that his bride is not in the entertainment industry, the wedding will be a discreet affair attended only by family and close friends.
Reflecting on this significant moment, Um Ki-joon expressed, "I thought I would never meet someone to share my life with. However, I have found a warm-hearted and considerate partner, and I am excited to start a new chapter together through marriage."
Following the wedding, Um Ki-joon will not be going on a honeymoon immediately. According to OSEN's reports, he will continue performing in the musical 'Gwanghwamun Sonata' (광화문연가). Just two days before his wedding, he took to the stage on December 20 and is scheduled to perform again on December 24.
Um Ki-joon made his acting debut in 1995 with the play 'Richard III' and has since appeared in various musicals such as 'The Sorrows of Young Werther' (젊은 베르테르의 슬픔), 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' (헤드윅), 'Jack the Ripper' (잭 더 리퍼), 'The Count of Monte Cristo' (몬테크리스토), and 'Gwanghwamun Sonata' (광화문 연가). His television credits include dramas like 'Kimchi Cheese Smile' (김치 치즈 스마일), 'Well Done' (잘했군 잘했어), 'Dream High' (드림하이), 'The Lady's Aroma' (여인의 향기), 'Ghost' (유령), 'The Virus' (더 바이러스), 'Masked Investigator' (복면검사), 'Defendant' (피고인), 'I Am Not a Robot' (로봇이 아니야), 'Penthouse' (펜트하우스), 'Little Women' (작은아씨들), and 'Revival of the Seven' (7인의 부활).
