Actor Ryu Seong-hyun Ties the Knot with 18-Year-Younger Fiancée
On December 26, actor Ryu Seong-hyun shared a heartfelt message on his social media, expressing gratitude to everyone who attended his wedding. He acknowledged the challenges of their first-time experience and promised to repay the support with a happy life together. Ryu officially married his beautiful fiancée, Jo Ye-bin, on December 21 in a ceremony held in Seoul.
The couple had previously announced their engagement on the MBN show 'Special Report World' aired on December 19, revealing that they met during a soccer gathering and have been dating for four years. Following their wedding, Ryu and Jo shared a video from the ceremony on their personal accounts, showcasing Ryu's lively entrance that drew cheers from the guests.
During the reading of their vows, Ryu humorously promised to "cut his tongue in half" to ensure his beloved wife wouldn’t be scared during conversations, vowed to never skip breakfast for her, and pledged to follow her lead without complaints. Jo also added a playful note, saying she would only show her love for her favorite actor up to the point of pouting.
After the ceremony, the couple expressed their joy, stating, "Two different people have become one with your blessings. Thank you for making our wedding special. We will cherish the love you’ve given us and live together with care."
Ryu Seong-hyun first gained recognition in 2012 for his role as Lee Jung-koo in the film 'New World' and has recently made a strong impression as Lee Seok-jae, the abusive husband in Netflix's 'The Glory'. He also portrayed Kim Hoon in KBS2's 'Goryeo-Khitan War'.
