Actor Lee Yi-kyung Reveals He Was a Victim of Fraud

Actor Lee Yi-kyung has opened up about being a victim of fraud. In a preview clip released on February 27 by tvN Story's YouTube channel for the show 'Breakfast Worth 100 Billion,' Lee was seen conversing with Dr. Oh Eun-young before a meeting with a CEO. During the discussion, Lee introduced one of the guests as a CEO who started their company with a debt of 10 billion KRW. Dr. Oh responded, noting that even having a debt of 10 million KRW can weigh heavily on a person, and that 100 billion KRW is an enormous amount. Lee then shared that he currently has a loan of 500 million KRW, which he finds suffocating. When asked about how he incurred this debt, Lee candidly admitted, 'I was scammed badly, as they say, like a 'fly on dung.' He explained that he mistakenly invested money and ended up taking out a loan, with interest payments of 2 million KRW each month, which he finds overwhelming. He added that the concept of being in debt by 100 billion KRW is beyond his comprehension. 'Breakfast Worth 100 Billion' is a talk show that explores the lives of successful self-made individuals and entrepreneurs in South Korea. The first episode featured Ryo (Lee Hyo-jung), the founder of the London Bagel Museum, while the second episode will feature Yoon Moon-hyun, the CEO of 'Honey Butter Almond.'
