This initiative aims to honor the 121,723 veterans whose remains have yet to be recovered as of December last year. 

The campaign, titled '121723 Taegeukgi That Must Be Found,' assigns unique numbers from 1 to 121,723 to each badge, reflecting the desire for all missing soldiers to reunite with their loved ones. The boxes containing the badges are designed to resemble a Taegeukgi draped over a veteran's urn. 

Notably, these badges are crafted from recycled metal from the domestically produced K9 self-propelled howitzer. Hanwha stated that this symbolizes the 'Iron of Freedom,' representing the commitment to protect South Korea's liberty and to remember the heroes of the Korean War who sacrificed their lives on the battlefield. 

The Ministry plans to distribute these badges at key events during June, which is designated as the month of national defense and veterans. Kim was accused of consuming sedatives and engaging in sexual acts with a woman who was incapacitated at the time. Despite his claims of no coercion, the court rejected his defense, stating that it was unreasonable to believe the victim was aware of the live-streaming. The court noted that Kim's intent was to attract more viewers and generate revenue through provocative content. 

Although more than 200 viewers were present during the live broadcast, none reported the incident. The victim later learned about the situation from a whistleblower and subsequently filed a police report. In an interview with KBS, she expressed her shock, stating, "I was told that I needed to know about the incident, and I was discouraged from watching the footage because it might be too traumatic. I have no memory of it, and in the video, I am completely unconscious. Why did 200 people just let it happen?" 

The question of whether the viewers could be charged as accomplices has garnered attention, but experts believe that current laws make it difficult to prosecute them. Attorney Song Chae-hyun from Roel Law Firm explained on YTN's 'Case X File' that mere viewership does not meet the legal criteria for complicity. Identifying the viewers is also a significant challenge, complicating any potential investigation or prosecution. 

However, Song noted that if viewers had actively encouraged the actions through comments or financial support, they could be held accountable. He emphasized the need for legal reforms to enhance platform accountability, citing the European Union's Digital Services Act (DSA), which imposes fines on large platforms for failing to manage illegal content. He concluded that similar legal measures should be established to prevent platforms from evading responsibility.

윰댕 had been aware of her uterine fibroids and adenomyosis (a condition where the uterus grows larger) but initially thought that enduring the pain was manageable, leading her to postpone treatment. However, as various symptoms worsened, she decided to proceed with surgery. 

She explained, "My menstrual cycle had extended to nearly 20 days with heavy bleeding, which caused severe anemia. The fibroid grew to 8 cm, pressing against my bladder and transplanted kidney, making daily life unbearable." 

She also mentioned, "I heard that if fibroids grow, they could turn into cancer. The first hospital diagnosed me with suspected cancer."

Lee was accused of having former Ssangbangwool Chairman Kim Seong-tae pay a total of 8 million dollars, which included 5 million dollars for a 'North Korean smart farm improvement' project and 3 million dollars for President Lee's travel expenses to North Korea during his tenure as Gyeonggi Province Governor in 2019.

Both the first and second trials, as well as the Supreme Court, acknowledged that 800,000 dollars were remitted to North Korea, with 394,000 dollars being classified as violations of foreign exchange laws due to unauthorized transfers, including 164,000 dollars for the smart farm project and 230,000 dollars for travel expenses. The remaining 406,000 dollars was ruled as not proven to be a crime. Notably, the court found that 200,000 dollars of the travel expenses were delivered to the Workers' Party of Korea.

The NewJeans team stated, "The trust between us and Ador has completely broken down. We have crossed a river that cannot be crossed back. We have no intention of reaching an agreement." Last November, NewJeans announced the termination of their contract with Ador due to alleged breaches. They subsequently rebranded themselves as 'NJZ' and began independent activities. However, Ador filed for a confirmation of the contract's validity, along with requests to maintain their status as the agency and to prohibit any advertising contracts.

The court granted all of Ador's requests. Following this, NewJeans filed an immediate objection and halted their activities.

On May 30, the court also approved Ador's request for indirect enforcement against NewJeans, ruling that they must not engage in independent or third-party entertainment activities without prior approval from Ador until the first-instance judgment on the contract's validity is delivered. If NewJeans violates this ruling, they will be liable to pay Ador 1 billion KRW for each violation, and if they perform as a complete group independently, they will owe 5 billion KRW at once.
