Actor Jang Jae-ho Opens Up About Family Life and Career Changes

Actor Jang Jae-ho (장재호) candidly shared insights about his marriage to actress Gong Min-jung (공민정) and how becoming a father has transformed his outlook on life. In an interview held on July 24 at the Sports Chosun headquarters in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, he discussed his recent projects, including appearances in SBS's Our Movie (우리영화), ENA's Salon de Holmes (살롱 드 홈즈), and Netflix's Squid Game Seasons 2 and 3 (오징어 게임 시즌 2·3).

Jang married Gong Min-jung in September last year after working together on the show My Husband's Wedding (내 남편과 결혼해줘), and they welcomed their daughter in January this year. He expressed, "This year has brought many significant changes. It has been filled with happiness, and the most joyful moments were marrying my wife and the birth of our child. Building a happy family is a huge blessing. While I am grateful for the opportunities to work on various projects, I never realized how immense the happiness from family could be. My days are now filled with work and parenting, which can be tiring at times, but the joy far outweighs the fatigue."

He also emphasized the stability that family brings, stating, "Having a family provides a strong foundation for continuing my acting career." Jang shared a behind-the-scenes story about Gong's special appearance in SBS's Our Movie, revealing that the director personally invited her. He noted that it felt strange since her character shares the same name as her.

When asked about his daily life, he mentioned, "After taking care of the baby and finishing work, I play badminton with Min-jung, chat, and enjoy late-night snacks, repeating these simple yet fulfilling routines." Currently, Jang Jae-ho is busy preparing for his next project.
