Actor Han Do-woo Faces Controversy Over Past Marijuana Use Amid Ongoing Activities

Actor Han Do-woo, known for his roles in shows like 비의도적 연애담 (Unintentional Love Story) and 수사반장 1958 (Investigation Team 1958), has recently come under scrutiny due to reports of his past marijuana use. Despite this controversy, he has continued to engage actively in various projects.
On December 23, Han Do-woo's former agency, VAST Entertainment, issued a statement to OSEN, clarifying that the marijuana-related incident occurred prior to his contract with them. They noted, "We cannot provide further comments as our contract with Han Do-woo has recently ended. We appreciate your understanding."
Earlier that day, a media outlet reported that Han Do-woo has been continuing his activities without apparent remorse since being penalized for marijuana use in December 2020. According to the report, he received a suspended indictment with conditions for completing educational programs following his violation of drug laws.
Despite this, Han Do-woo has remained active in the entertainment scene. Just a day prior, he held a fan meeting in Japan related to his drama, and he has also organized a photo exhibition with friends. Notably, he has been sharing updates about the exhibition on his Instagram, maintaining communication with his fans.
With his contract with VAST Entertainment now concluded and the resurfacing of the marijuana controversy, many are curious if Han Do-woo will address the situation directly.
Han Do-woo made his acting debut in 2014 with the tvN drama 일리있는 사랑 (Love That Makes You Cry) and has since appeared in various dramas, including 여자를 울려 (Tears of the Woman), 무림학교 (Martial Arts School), and 우리 갑순이 (Our Gap-soon). After serving in the military from March 2017 to December 2018, he returned to the screen with projects like 디어엠 (Dear M) in 2022, followed by 비의도적 연애담 (Unintentional Love Story), 수사반장 1958 (Investigation Team 1958), and 내 손끝에 너의 온도가 닿을 때 (When Your Temperature Touches My Fingertips).
