Actor Han Do-woo Apologizes for Past Marijuana Use

Actor Han Do-woo has publicly apologized after revelations about his past marijuana use came to light. On December 31, he took to social media to express his regret, stating, "The recent news regarding me has caused great disappointment and concern for many. When the article first surfaced, I was overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty about how to address it." In a handwritten letter, he acknowledged the significance of the trust and support he has received from fans, expressing deep shame and remorse for letting them down.
Han revealed that he was investigated by the police in December 2020 for marijuana use and received a deferred prosecution from the prosecution. He admitted, "At that time, I tried to rationalize my actions under the pretext of curiosity, but through the investigation, I realized how wrong my behavior was and have been reflecting deeply on my mistakes since then."
He continued, "All my past actions are inexcusable mistakes. Thinking about how my poor judgment and actions have disappointed and hurt you weighs heavily on my heart." Han vowed to reflect on himself and make choices that he would not be ashamed of in the future, ensuring that such incidents do not happen again.
Recent reports indicated that Han continued his activities without taking time for self-reflection after receiving the deferred prosecution for marijuana use. He made his acting debut in 2014 with the tvN drama 'Illyoon Love' and has appeared in dramas such as 'Dear M' and 'Investigation Team 1958.'
