Actor Dongha Makes Comeback in 'Cornell's Box' After School Violence Allegations

Actor Dongha is set to return to the screen with his first project, 'Cornell's Box', following the resolution of school violence allegations against him. The film is scheduled for release on January 8, 2025, and has recently unveiled its main trailer. Praised for its intricate plot twists and the impressive performances of emerging actors, 'Cornell's Box' has already garnered acclaim at over 40 international film festivals. Dongha's involvement in the film has drawn particular attention due to the controversy surrounding him in 2021 regarding allegations of school bullying.

An online post titled 'Oh! Samgwang Villa! Jang Jun-ah, Actor Dongha School Violence' sparked the discussion, where the author claimed that Dongha, whose real name is Kim Hyung-kyu, did not have a graduation photo in his school album, leading to speculation about his graduation from Middle East High School. The author alleged that the bullying incident occurred outside of school and was triggered by Dongha's reaction to being looked at.

In response, Dongha's agency, J Wide Company, stated to OSEN that they are currently verifying the claims made against him and will release a statement once the facts are confirmed. Dongha's team had previously filed a report with the cyber investigation unit, asserting that the allegations were false and that they would pursue legal action against the author for spreading misinformation. Dongha later revealed that while the police found sufficient evidence, the investigation could not proceed due to the deletion of the original post.

Now, having cleared his name, Dongha will portray the character Tae-i in 'Cornell's Box'. Fans are eager to see how he will showcase his acting skills in this new role.
