Actor Cha Ji-hyuk Joins the Cast of '신병3'

Actor Cha Ji-hyuk has officially joined the cast of the upcoming drama '신병3' (Military Prosecutor Doberman). On December 11, his agency, Management Run, announced his casting in the series.

Based on the immensely popular animated series, '신병' (directed by Min Jin-ki and Jo Je-wook, written by Yoon Gi-young and Kang Go-eun, and produced by KT Studio Genie and A2Z Entertainment), the show is a hyper-realistic military comedy that follows the story of a rookie soldier entering a world filled with various characters, from the good to the bad and the bizarre.

The first two seasons were well-received for their blend of humor and relatable storytelling, establishing '신병' as a legendary title in K-content. In the third season, viewers can expect to see the new military life of Park Min-seok (played by Kim Min-ho), who is now advancing towards the rank of Corporal.

In '신병3', Cha Ji-hyuk will portray the character Kim Tae-hee, known for his impressive physique and striking visuals, complemented by a deep voice. His ability to embody the character has already captivated the production team.

Cha expressed his excitement about joining the series, stating, "Having enjoyed both Season 1 and 2 immensely, it feels like a dream to be part of this project. I am completely immersed in the character of Tae-hee and will do my best to portray him until the end of the series."

Cha Ji-hyuk recently gained attention for his role as the youngest detective Min-jae in the film '짐승' (Beast) and has been active in dramas such as '이브' (Eve), '홍천기' (Hong Chun-ki), and '써치' (Search). Fans are eager to see how he will transform in '신병3'.

The third season of '신병' is set to premiere in 2025.
