Based on the novel of the same name, 'Paradox' has garnered significant attention for its unique narrative centered around a female assassin in her sixties. The film stars Lee Hye-young, known for her charismatic performances in works like 'The Movie of a Novelist' and 'In Front of Your Face,' as a legendary killer who has been eliminating 'cockroach-like' humans for 40 years.
Kim Sung-cheol, a versatile actor who has dominated both the big screen and television with roles in 'Comment Army' and 'The Owl,' will portray a mysterious killer named Toro, who has been pursuing the protagonist for two decades.
The cast also includes Yeon Woo-jin, recognized for his delicate expressions in films like 'Special Delivery' and the OTT series 'Morning Comes to Psychiatric Ward,' as well as Kim Mu-yeol, who has showcased his ability to embody diverse characters across genres in works such as 'The Outlaws 4' and 'Voice.' Newcomer Cynthia, who gained popularity with 'The Witch Part 2: The Other One,' rounds out the impressive ensemble.
Directed by Min Kyu-dong, known for his work across various genres including 'My Wife's All' and 'Herstory,' 'Paradox' promises to deliver a well-crafted film that combines captivating action with intricate emotional storytelling. The film depicts a thrilling blood-soaked confrontation between a legendary killer and a mysterious pursuer, set against the backdrop of a 40-year career in exterminating undesirable individuals. The film is set to be released in the first half of this year.
