A Unique Connection: Comedians' Children Enroll in the Same High School
In a delightful twist of fate, comedian Kim Ji-hye's daughter and comedian Park Sung-ho's son have both enrolled in the same high school. On March 5, Kim Ji-hye shared on her personal social media account, "Park Jun-hyung's daughter and Park Sung-ho's son are entering the same high school. How amazing! The fathers were KBS colleagues in '97, and their children are classmates in 2025. From 'Dochin Gaechin' to yodeling songs, respect!"
The post included a photo of Kim Ji-hye's daughter, Hye-i, and Park Sung-ho's son, Jeong-bin, meeting at their entrance ceremony at Sunhwa Arts High School. Jeong-bin is known to major in modern dance, while Hye-i is pursuing a major in art.
Previously, Park Sung-ho expressed his desire to become in-laws with Kim Ji-hye and Park Jun-hyung on a variety show. He mentioned, "After seeing our son's photo, Park Jun-hyung said he was handsome, which made me dream of becoming in-laws. Having a wonderful mother-in-law like Ji-hye would be reassuring."
In response, Kim Ji-hye humorously remarked, "I’ll give my card to my son-in-law later. Can our Hye-i handle that?"
While discussions of in-laws are happening between Hye-i and Jeong-bin, Kim Ji-hye's eldest daughter, Jun-i, is also in talks about becoming in-laws with the son of comedian Jeong Jong-cheol, named Si-hoo. In a conversation shared by Park Jun-hyung, Jeong Jong-cheol stated, "Jun-i will definitely like him. We need to become in-laws to create a super comedian. We should arrange a meeting between Jun-i and Si-hoo soon." Park Jun-hyung added, "Just looking at Si-hoo, he seems impressive. Look at those long legs that defy his father's height! We’ve succeeded in genetic enhancement. The super comedian project starts now! This is a victory for one man's DNA enhancement, but a great step for humanity."
However, Park Jun-hyung expressed concern, saying, "Is this an impossible dream? If Jun-i sees this, she won't let me off easily."
For context, Park Jun-hyung debuted as a comedian with KBS in 1997, while Kim Ji-hye followed in 1999. The couple married in 2005 and have two daughters together.
