30 Composers Unite for Trot Idol Project

TV Chosun is set to air 'Trot Idol: The Journey of True Sister' (트롯돌 입덕기: 진심누나) on the evening of the 23rd at 7:50 PM. The show will feature a 'Trot Song Camp' dedicated to creating the second track for SM Entertainment's trot idol group, Mytro (마이트로).
This innovative song camp is a first for SM, where various creators come together to collaborate and develop a single song through discussion. This system has previously produced numerous hits for SM artists, including Red Velvet's 'Bad Boy' and NCT U's 'Baggie Jeans.'
The broadcast will showcase the collaborative efforts of 30 K-pop songwriters from both domestic and international backgrounds as they work on Mytro's upcoming single. Notable figures such as Kangta (강타) from H.O.T. and members from TRAX, along with singer Yuseong (유성은), will also be present, adding to the excitement. During the camp, composer Cho Young-soo (조영수) shared, "'Love's Battery' was my first trot song," expressing his immediate connection to the lyrics provided by lyricist Kang Eun-kyung (강은경). This insight raises curiosity about what kind of song the participating composers will create for Mytro.
Additionally, after hearing the songs produced at the camp, Song Eun-i (송은이) and Kim Sook (김숙) humorously ponder, "We could do this too!" as they brainstorm ideas for a new single. Meanwhile, Lee Young-ja (이영자) jokingly dreams of debuting as a singer after 34 years in the industry upon seeing the title 'Michelin' (미슐랭), eliciting laughter from the participants.
