2PM's Ok Taecyeon Denies Marriage Rumors After Paris Photos Surface

Ok Taecyeon (옥택연), a member of the popular K-pop group 2PM, has found himself at the center of marriage speculation following the leak of candid photos taken in Paris with his girlfriend. The images, which surfaced on various online communities on February 5, show the couple in affectionate poses against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower. One notable moment captured is Ok Taecyeon kneeling and presenting a ring to his girlfriend, who appears surprised by the gesture.

These photos were reportedly taken last year by a photographer based in Paris and later shared on Instagram, where they were discovered by a Chinese fan, leading to their widespread circulation.

Fans quickly speculated that the photos indicated a proposal, with many expressing their excitement and support in the comments, saying things like, "They look great together," and "Congratulations!"

However, Ok Taecyeon's agency, 51K, promptly addressed the rumors, stating, "The marriage rumors regarding Ok Taecyeon and his girlfriend are not true. There are no specific plans for marriage at this time." They clarified that the photos were taken to celebrate his girlfriend's birthday and emphasized that the couple is enjoying a positive relationship. While they hinted that marriage could happen in the future, they confirmed that there are no immediate plans.

Ok Taecyeon publicly acknowledged his relationship with a non-celebrity woman in 2020, and the agency had previously stated that they would handle the matter with care due to her non-celebrity status. Last year, the couple was also spotted enjoying a date in the upscale Apgujeong Rodeo area of Seoul.
