25-Year-Old Yang Hong-won Becomes a Father Without Marriage, Welcomes Daughter

Rapper Yang Hong-won has officially become a father at the age of 25. He shared the joyful news of his daughter's birth on his personal social media account on November 28, announcing, "My fans, Hyun-joo did it!!! My daughter Yang Lua. Congratulations to us!" The child was born to his long-time girlfriend.

In the photos he shared, Yang Hong-won stands out with his unique hairstyle and trendy fashion. Wearing a mask, he cradles his newborn daughter, appearing overwhelmed with emotion. The name of his daughter is revealed to be ‘양루아’ (Yang Lua), as he gazes lovingly at her beside a yellow rabbit plush toy.

Rumors about Yang Hong-won becoming a father had circulated in online communities for some time. In June, rapper Obigogle released a diss track that included the line, "If you’ve become a dad, quit rapping and leave," while some netizens noted that his girlfriend had posted a photo showing a slight baby bump on her social media.

By announcing the birth of his daughter, Yang Hong-won has embraced fatherhood at a young age. Fans have flooded the comments with messages of congratulations, asking questions like, "When will you get married?" and expressing their joy with comments such as, "Congratulations on becoming a baby daddy!" and "She’s so beautiful!"

Yang Hong-won first gained recognition in 2015 through Mnet's Show Me the Money 4 (쇼미더머니4) and won the competition in 2017 on Mnet's High School Rapper (고등래퍼). He released a new album titled SLOWMO (슬로우모) in May and is set to hold his solo concert, Yang Hong-won Solo Concert VOL.2, at Yes24 Wonder Hall on December 7 and 8.
