2024 MAMA Awards Kick Off in the U.S. Featuring Park Jin-young, Rosé, Bruno Mars, and G-Dragon

The highly anticipated 2024 MAMA Awards (마마 어워즈) officially begins today, November 22, 2024, under the theme 'BIG BLUR: What is Real?'. This marks the first time the prestigious K-pop awards ceremony is being held in the United States.

Hosted by actor Park Bo-gum, the event will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, starting at 12 PM PST. The ceremony will feature a star-studded lineup, including Korean-American singer-songwriter Anderson .Paak, who is known for his 'Miryang Park' lineage, and J.Y. Park, who celebrates his 30th anniversary as a singer and producer this year. Other performers include ILLIT, KATSEYE, RIIZE, TWS, and YOUNG POSSE.

CJ ENM, the organizing company, hinted that the choice of the Dolby Theatre as the venue reflects its significance, as it is associated with Oscar nominations and awards, suggesting that Hollywood icons will make surprise appearances as presenters.

Following the Los Angeles event, the awards will continue at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan, starting with a red carpet event at 4 PM on the same day.

The first chapter in Japan will showcase an impressive lineup of performing artists and presenters. Highlights include a collaborative theme stage featuring TOMORROW X TOGETHER's Yeonjun and Robot Dog, as well as performances by BOYNEXTDOOR, ENHYPEN, IVE, izna, Lee Young Ji, ME:I, PLAVE, and TREASURE. Notably, the performance of BLACKPINK's Rosé alongside American pop star Bruno Mars, from the viral hit 'APT.', will be unveiled for the first time globally.

On November 23, the second chapter will be hosted by actress Kim Tae-ri, featuring a MEGA STAGE by (G)I-DLE, a CINEMATIC STAGE by ZEROBASEONE, and performances from aespa, BIBI, INI, MEOVV, and SEVENTEEN. A special 'Exclusive Stage' by Byun Woo-seok and a highly anticipated solo comeback performance by G-DRAGON, leader of BIGBANG, will also draw significant attention.

Visa, a global payment technology company operating in over 200 countries, is the title sponsor for this year's awards. Fans can watch the live broadcast of the MAMA Awards on Mnet, as well as on the Mnet K-Pop YouTube channel and Mnet Plus.
