2024 KBS Song Festival Delivers Unforgettable Performances

The '2024 KBS Gayo Daechukje' captivated audiences with spectacular stages on December 20, held at KINTEX in Ilsan and broadcasted on KBS 2TV. Hosted by Zico, IVE's Jang Won-young, and actor Kim Young-dae, the festival embraced the theme of 'Infinity,' showcasing K-pop artists connecting generations through music.
The event featured legendary artists such as Jinusean, Baby V.O.X, and Bada, alongside current stars like IVE, NCT, and ENHYPEN, creating a vibrant mix of special performances that spanned generations and genres.
The opening act saw UNIS perform 'You Don’t Know,' radiating youthful charm, followed by tripleS delivering a powerful performance of 'Girls Never Die.' Kep1er brought their signature bright energy to the stage with 'TIPI-TAP.' DJ Gu Jun-yeop then took the stage, leading a collaborative performance of 'Choryeon' with UNIS, tripleS, and Kep1er, igniting the atmosphere.
ONEUS reinterpreted Fin.K.L's 'NOW' with a stunning performance, while Lee Young-ji showcased her charisma with a medley including 'Small Girl.' NCT's Mark made his first live appearance of the new song 'Fraktsiya,' impressing with his powerful rap and stage presence.
CRAVITY rocked the stage with a strong rock version of 'Now or Never' and collaborated with Bada for 'Mad,' showcasing their unique appeal. Bada then performed 'Dreams Come True' and aespa's 'Next Level,' demonstrating her explosive vocal talent and captivating performance style. aespa followed with their distinctive concepts in 'Wipflash' and 'Armageddon,' solidifying their presence.
The second half featured beloved trot performances. Lee Chan-won delivered heartfelt renditions of 'Sijeol Inyeon' and 'Flower Day,' while Jang Min-ho energized the crowd with 'Pungak-eul Uljyeora.' Young-tak brought high energy with 'Pomichyeotda' and 'Niga Wae Geogi-seo Namwa' alongside P1Harmony.
P1Harmony showcased their strong presence with 'Ttaekkal' and 'SAD SONG,' followed by MC Kim Young-dae and ENHYPEN's Heeseung performing 'Snowman' with warm emotions.
Boynextdoor filled the stage with refreshing charm during 'Earth, Wind & Fire' and collaborated with hip-hop legends Jinusean for 'Phone Number,' demonstrating a perfect generational synergy. Jinusean also recreated the 90s vibe with 'A-YO' and showcased unique chemistry with MC Jang Won-young in 'Malhaejwo.'
IVE wowed the audience with their stunning visuals and powerful performances of 'Blue Heart' and 'HEYA.' (G)I-DLE's Miyeon, ENHYPEN's Jungwon and Jay, IVE's Liz, and Boynextdoor's Seongho delivered beautiful harmonies in god's 'Gil.'
Kiss of Life dominated the stage with their girl crush appeal in 'Get Loud,' and the first-generation girl group Baby V.O.X reunited after 14 years, performing 'Get Up' and 'Uyeon (Sad Coincidence)' with their timeless charisma. They later collaborated with Kiss of Life for 'Killer,' showcasing a fantastic synergy between seniors and juniors.
Baby V.O.X expressed their joy, stating, "We practiced almost all night for two weeks. We are grateful for this opportunity and had a wonderful time together, laughing and dancing."
NCT DREAM brought refreshing energy with 'Smoothie,' 'Skateboard,' and 'When I'm with You,' while ENHYPEN showcased their versatility with 'No Doubt' and 'Daydream.' (G)I-DLE delivered a powerful performance with 'Revenge' and 'Super Lady,' and NCT 127 heated up the atmosphere with 'Hero (英雄; Kick It)' and 'Piggeudak (Walk).'
The festival concluded with Yoon Soo-il performing 'Apartment' alongside all artists, blending his song with Rosé's 'Apartment' to deliver a touching finale that transcended generations.
