200 Journalists Gather to Witness Kim Soo-hyun and Ju Ji-hoon at Disney+ K-Content Showcase

K-content is making its mark on the global stage. On November 20, 2024, Walt Disney Korea hosted the 'Disney Content Showcase APAC 2024' at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, bringing together journalists from 125 countries. This event allows attendees to preview upcoming theatrical releases and streaming content for the year and beyond, featuring trailers and exclusive footage from Disney's creative studios worldwide. The showcase also highlights new Korean and Japanese content, with top global stars from the U.S. and the Asia-Pacific region in attendance. A total of 400 journalists participated, including 100 from South Korea and over 50 from Japan.

Domestic stars also gathered for the event. The premiere and press conference for the new Disney+ drama '조명가게' (The Lighting Store) took place on the same day, featuring the show's writer Kang Pool and director Kim Hee-won. Lead actors Ju Ji-hoon and Park Bo-young engaged with the press to discuss the highly anticipated series, which is penned by Kang Pool himself. 'The Lighting Store' tells the story of mysterious customers who visit a unique shop that illuminates the dark corners of an alley, each harboring their own secrets.

On November 21, there will be press conferences for original dramas from the Asia-Pacific region, including '트리거' (Trigger) written by Kim Ga-ram and directed by Yoo Seon-dong, '하이퍼나이프' (Hyperknife) written by Kim Sun-hee and directed by Kim Jung-hyun, '나인퍼즐' (Nine Puzzle) written by Lee Eun-mi and directed by Yoon Jong-bin, '넉오프' (Knock Off) written by Han Jeong-hoon and directed by Park Hyun-seok, and '파인' (Pine) written and directed by Kang Yoon-sung. Many South Korean actors, including Park Eun-bin, Seol Kyung-gu, Kim Soo-hyun, Jo Bo-ah, Ju Ji-hoon, Park Bo-young, Ryu Seung-ryong, Lim Soo-jung, Yang Se-jong, Kim Da-mi, Son Seok-koo, Kim Hye-soo, and Jung Sung-il, have traveled to Singapore to join the global press.
